Acting U of L Foundation CFO Robert Mims has been fired after only two weeks following an arrest for shoplifting.
According to the Courier-Journal:
Sherman said in the statement that Mims had no access to financial accounts or confidential information, that his “alleged lapses in judgment were unrelated to his work for the foundation” and that “based on his positive professional references and his work for us we could not have foreseen the alleged behavior.”
Court records online show Mims, 51, still has an address in Memphis, Tennessee, was charged Wednesday with theft or shoplifting over $10,000 and under $1 million.
