In the modern Power Five world, Week 1 often looks like a scrimmage. Big-name programs buy a comfortable win, knock off some rust, and move on. Kentucky isn’t playing that game in 2025.
Mark Stoops made it clear: the Toledo Rockets are no pushover.
“It’s a long, difficult year,” Stoops said to the media Tuesday. “We have to approach this with 12 one-week seasons... Toledo is a very good opponent.”
This isn’t lip service. Toledo has quietly built itself into a Mid-American Conference powerhouse, and they don’t shy away from big moments.
