Virginia Tech big man Kerry Blackshear has entered his name into both the NBA Draft and the NCAA basketball transfer portal. As soon as his name went public, many started speculating about his destination because he is easily the best big man available on the transfer market.
It was not long before Blackshear’s name came up as a potential target for the Kentucky Wildcats. There have been multiple reports that the Kentucky coaching staff has reached out to Blackshear’s family, although his father has denied that any conversations have taken place.
As Kentucky’s front court could use some help for next season and Blackshear is the top guy available, it makes sense for Kentucky to make a run at signing him.
