Arkansas was one of several SEC schools to announce a new head football coach on Sunday, but the Razorback fanbase doesn’t seem too happy with the hire.
Reports leaked earlier this morning that Arkansas was set to hire Memphis’ Ryan Silverfield as the program’s 35th head coach. That news was made official by the school a couple of hours later. Silverfield will head to Fayetteville with a solid resume under his belt: a 50-25 overall record at Memphis, including a 27-21 mark against conference competition. The 45-year-old led the Tigers to a 4-1 bowl record that included a 10-win season in 2023 and an 11-win season in 2024.
