You can smell football in the air. Today all 32 NFL training camps are officially in action across the league. There are 26 former Kentucky football players on the initial 90-man rosters. That number will slowly shrink throughout the preseason until 53-man rosters are finalized Tuesday, Aug. 30.
You’ll notice a few veterans are absent from the July rosters. Defensive lineman Corey Peters is no longer with the Arizona Cardinals, but at least one talking head believes he could be a late free agency addition. Recent UK Hall of Fame inductee Danny Trevathan was cut by the Chicago Bears this spring.
