Alabama has inserted itself into the conversation for one of the state of Kentucky’s most prolific prospects. This weekend Saadiq Clements is expected to travel to Tuscaloosa to unofficially visit Alabama when the Crimson Tide roll the Tennessee Volunteers.
A 6-foot-5, 265-pound defensive lineman from Henderson, Ky., in April Kentucky became the first school to offer Clements a scholarship. Five others have followed, including Indiana, Purdue and Louisville. The three-star prospect camped with the Cats over the summer and attended the Kentucky-LSU game as a guest of the Wildcats.
A two-way star for the Henderson County Colonels, Clements’ combination of athleticism and size will make him one of the most sought after recruits in the region.
