Kentucky basketball announced via press release on Monday that the 2022 Blue-White scrimmage will be played in Appalachian Wireless Arena in Pikeville, Kentucky.
The move was made to support the victims of the flooding that plagued much of eastern Kentucky just months ago, with the first announcement coming on Aug. 2 during the open practice and telethon to raise money for the flood victims.
The flooding claimed 40 lives with over 1,300 having to be rescued by first responders or having their homes destroyed.
UK Athletics took action in trying to support the people whose lives had been impacted by the floods raising over $2.
