There was U of L's football surprising collapse and UK's football surprising success; U of L basketball and UK baseball each finding a way to miss the NCAA Tournament; UK basketball's and U of L baseball's surprising slips and NCAA Tournament elimination; WKU basketball reaching the NIT Final Four before its football program changed coaches after only two seasons; and Jeff Brohm turning down his hometown school after Chris Mack opted to leave his home state for Louisville.
