KENT- The 2023-24 wrestling season gets underway this Sunday, heading to western Pennsylvania to participate in the 2023 Clarion Open.
The Flashes will send 29 wrestlers to the event that will have participants from 18 different schools. The open will be a double elimination tournament through the 10 weight classes. Kent State could potentially face wrestlers from several MAC schools that will compete in this year's Open.
Kent State opens the 23-24 season ranked 11th in the MAC's pre-season wrestling rankings. The rankings were based off the Wrestle Stat rankings. Keegan Knapp is ranked fourth in the MAC at 157 pounds and will be competing this Sunday.
