Women's Basketball to Compete in WNIT

Kent State's storied 2016-17 will continue as the team has received an bid to play in the Women's National Invitation Tournament as announced Monday night.

The entire 64-team field bracket will be released later tonight around midnight. First round games will be held March 15-17. The entire WNIT is played at campus sites.

This is the first WNIT invitation for the Golden Flashes since the 2011. That year, Kent State traveled to Duquesne where it lost 64-56. The program is 0-3 all-time in WNIT games.
