Women’s Basketball Opens Practice for Canada Trip

KENT, Ohio – Preparations for an upcoming three-game, eight-day trip to Canada began on Wednesday afternoon, as the Kent State women's basketball team held practice inside of the M.A.C. Center.

Fourth-year head coach Todd Starkey will have eight practices to work with the squad prior to departing for Vancouver on Friday, Aug. 9. The Golden Flashes will then return to campus on Friday, Aug. 16.

"We are very appreciative of our administration for allowing us to put this together and provide this type of experience for our student-athletes and staff," said Starkey. "This trip gives us the opportunity with a young team to have extra time to practice and also get some on-court experience.
