Women’s Basketball Opens Homestand Saturday Against Miami

The Kent State women's basketball team will begin a three-game, five-day homestand at the M.A.C. Center on Saturday with a 12 p.m. Mid-American Conference game against Miami.

In their first game following a 25-day break, the Golden Flashes (5-3, 4-1 MAC) lost to Ohio, 85-70, in a road contest on Wednesday. The game was much closer than the final score indicates, as Kent State had the ball with 2:41 to play and trailing by four but was unable to connect on three shot attempts during the possession. The Flashes missed their final eight shots overall while the Bobcats scored the final 11 points on 1-of-1 shooting from the floor and 9-of-10 at the charity stripe.
