KENT, Ohio — The Kent State women's basketball team began preparation for the upcoming 2017-18 season with its first day of official practice on Monday (Oct. 2) morning inside the M.A.C. Center. The practice comes 40 days ahead of the Golden Flashes' first regular season game on November 11 at Northern Kentucky.
"Overall, I was pleased with our first practice and saw some really good things that we will be able build on as we move forward the rest of the week," said second-year head coach Todd Starkey. "You typically aren't quite knowing what to expect going into that first day, and neither are the players.
