RALEIGH, N.C. – Redshirt junior Megan Carter scored a game-high 22 points as the Kent State women's basketball team fell to No. 17 NC State, 78-61, Sunday afternoon inside of Reynolds Coliseum. After trailing by 19 points at halftime, the Golden Flashes won each of the final two periods by a point.
Kent State (0-2) shot just 17-for-55 from the floor and 9-for-29 from three-point range in the contest, while the host Wolfpack went 29-for-53 overall and 13-for-23 from long range. The Flashes did a good job of getting to the free throw line, converting 18 of 22 attempts.
