The 2016-17 season will start Friday night for the Golden Flashes as they host Bradley at 7 p.m. at the M.A.C. Center.
Students attending the game will receive free pizza while all military veterans will receive free admission in honor of Veteran's Day.

The Matchup
• Kent State is 0-1 all-time against Bradley
• The two teams first met early on last season as the Flashes fell 68-60 on the road
• The Braves finished 9-22 last season
• The Golden Flashes have won seven of their last 12 season-openers, including two in the last three years
A New Regime
• Friday marks the first game under Head Coach Todd Starkey, who was hired this past April after serving as an assistant at Indiana for two seasons
• Starkey brings with him assistants Pat Mashuda, Fran Recchia, Morgan Toles and Director of Operations Alison Seberger
• Together, the new staff combines for decades of coaching experience, including numerous years at some of the top NCAA Division I programs
A Repeat Roster
• Fans will be familiar with the 2016-17 squad as the team remains the same from last season with the addition of freshman Ali Poole
• Four-year senior Larissa Lurken will lead the way along with McKenna Stephens, Keziah Lewis, Chelsi Watson and Lacey Miller who will all be playing their final season
• Junior Jordan Korinek, last season's top scorer and rebounder, will look to improve upon her impressive All-MAC season
• The junior class is also comprised of Zenobia Bess, who sat out last season due to transfer rules, and Naddiyah Cross
• The sophomore class of Taylor Parker, Merissa Barber-Smith, Alexa Golden and Paige Salisbury will all vie for playing time once again
