Former Kent State defensive end Terence Waugh (Atlanta, Ga.) signed as a free agent with the Arizona Cardinals this past weekend. A two-time All-Mid-American Conference First Team selection, Waugh will be used in a different role at linebacker with the Cardinals.
Waugh collected 17 sacks in his final two seasons with the Golden Flashes earning consecutive appearances on the Ted Hendricks Award Watch List. As a senior, he ranked second in the MAC in tackles for loss per game.
"All he needed was an opportunity and I think he's going to be successful," Defensive Line Coach Colin Ferrell said.
