CLEVELAND – Kent State University men's basketball guard Jaylin Walker has earned Mid-American Conference East Division Player of the Week honors, as announced Tuesday by the conference office.
The sophomore was vital to the team's biggest win of the season, a 63-58 road victory at the University of Texas. He led the way in the scoring column, with 24 points on 50 percent shooting. He also pulled down seven rebounds, one shy of his career-high.
Walker had several key buckets, and scored his last eight points in the final 2:30 of the game, much of which was played in within a possession.
