INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Kent State earn a 3-1 (25-20, 10-25, 25-18, 31-29) win over Horizon League favorite Cleveland State in the first of two matches on Saturday at the Bulldog Brawl. The Golden Flashes then fell to host Butler, 3-0 (12-25, 18-25, 28-30), in the final non-conference contest of the season.
"Overall, it was a solid weekend for us," said head coach Don Gromala, whose team will head into Mid-American Conference play with a 7-7 record. "We played some very good volleyball overall, especially in the first two matches. I think all of these teams here are very talented.
