KENT, Ohio — Blue took the first three sets in a 3-1 (26-24, 25-23, 25-22, 21-25) victory in Kent State's annual Blue and Gold Scrimmage Tuesday evening at the M.A.C. Center.
The exhibition provided the Golden Flashes with an opportunity to put together what they have worked on since preseason camp began last Tuesday in a game-like setting. Following two competitive sets to start the night, a few players swapped squads during the final two sets.
Redshirt freshman Alex Haffner posted a triple-double in her first time in a Kent State uniform. The Kansas State transfer totaled 10 kills, 29 assists and 16 digs.
