DES MOINES, Iowa — Six members of the Kent State track and field program competed Thursday's second day of the Drake Relays.
Jacob Mally scored the fourth-most points on the day in the decathlon and finished seventh with a total of 6,486 points. Mally ran a 15.09 in the 110-meter hurdles to take second-place to open the day and also closed the competition with a second-place finish in the 1,500-meter run (4:36.39). In between, he recorded outdoor collegiate-best marks in the discus (101'-7") and pole vault (13'-1.5").
Rachel Banks won her heat of the women's 800-meter run with a season-best time of 2:10.
