Trickett Named to Groza Award Watch List

KENT, OHIO- Kent State junior place kicker Matthew Trickett has been named to the 2020 Lou Groza Collegiate Place-Kicker watch list as announced by the Palm Beach County Sports Commission.

The annual award recognizes the NCAA's top place-kicker. The Award is named for National Football League Hall of Fame kicker Lou "The Toe" Groza, who played 21 seasons with the Cleveland Browns. Groza won four NFL championships with Cleveland and was named NFL Player of the Year in 1954.

Trickett is coming off a stellar 2019 sophomore campaign, tying for the most field goals in the FBS with 29.
