KENT, OHIO- Kent State place kicker Matthew Trickett and graduate linebacker Matt Bahr earned Player of the Week honors from the Mid-American Conference and College Sports Madness, respectfully.
Trickett was named the Mid-American Conference East Division Special Teams Player of the Week while Bahr was named the College Sports Madness MAC Defender of the Week.
Trickett went 4-4 on field goals on Saturday, helping Kent State knock-off Kennesaw State 26-23 in overtime. The sophomore drilled a game-tying field goal with just nine seconds left to force overtime, then won the game with a walk-off 43-yard field goal in the first overtime.
