CLEVELAND, Ohio – Kent State senior Donovan Tolbert has been named Mid-American Conference Field Athlete of the Week, as announced by the conference office Tuesday, January 19th.
Tolbert's award comes after he took first place and set a Kent State school record in the triple jump with a mark of 16.08m (52' 9.25") at the Doug Raymond Invitational on Saturday, January 16th. Along with the school record, Tolbert also broke the Kent State Field House triple-jump record of 16.05m (52' 8.00") previously held by two-time All-American Robert Johnson of Appalachian State.
For Tolbert, this is the first time he has received MAC Athlete of the Week honors.
