Tolbert Breaks 28-Year Old Triple Jump School Record at Doug Raymond Invite Saturday

KENT, Ohio – Kent State senior Donovan Tolbert broke the school record in the triple jump with a lifetime personal-best 16.08m at the Doug Raymond Invitational on Saturday, January 16th.

Tolbert, whose previous best was 15.51m (50' 10.75") recorded at the 2015 Mid-American Conference Championships, jumped a lifetime personal-best 16.08m (52' 9.25") on his first jump of 2016. The Kent State school record was set by Tony Anderson in 1988 at 16.05m (52' 8"). Tolbert went on to win the event with his 16.08m jump.

The Golden Flashes left the field house Saturday with victories in seven events, with four in field events and three on the oval.
