CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Kent State track and field program' stellar start to the 2017-18 indoor season this past weekend as host of the Golden Flash Gala inside of the Kent State Field House, which resulted in winning three of the Mid-American Conference's first four Athlete of the Week honors. Senior Gabrielle Figueroa, redshirt sophomore TJ Lawson and redshirt senior Riak Reese were all honored.
Figueroa unleashed a monster throw for 68'-9.25" (20.96m) on her first attempt to win the weight throw at the season-opening Golden Flash Gala.
