KENT, OHIO- Kent State student-athletes recorded the highest fall-term grade point average (GPA) in department history (3.375), highlighting several academic records set in the fall 2020 semester.
Student-athletes continued to thrive in an ever-changing educational environment. Over the semester, student-athletes dealt with both virtual and in-person classes and all advising, and tutoring being held virtually. The student-athletes met the challenge, the fall term marked the 18th consecutive semester with a department cumulative GPA and the 17th consecutive semester with a term GPA of 3.0.
"In one of the most unique semesters our student-athletes have encountered, they continued to raise the bar academically," Angie Hull, Associate Athletics Director and Director of Student-Athlete Academic Services said.
