KENT, Ohio- Nearly 70 percent of Kent State student-athletes were recognized at halftime of the Kent State men's basketball game tonight for achieving a 3.0 or higher term GPA for the fall 2015 semester.
"We are incredibly proud of the culture of academic excellence that exists at Kent State University, " said Assistant Athletic Director/Director of Student-Athlete Academic Services Angie Hull. "Our student-athletes compete at the highest level both on the field and in the classroom and their efforts are quite evident in the academic statistics."
For the past six consecutive terms, Kent State student-athletes have broken department GPA records.
