NOBLESVILLE, Ind. – The Golden Flashes posted a strong finish to the day to take over the lead at the 2016 Mid-American Conference Championship on Saturday.
Two players birdied 18 before the final golfer, Josée Doyon, chipped in from the bunker for an eagle to cap off a 3-under day for the team. Kent State is 3-over overall in the event and leads Toledo by three strokes. Ohio is in third place at 17-over.
Wad Phaewchimplee set a new MAC Championship record with a 68, 4-under par for the lowest single round ever at the event.
