LORETTO, Pa. – Helen Harper's first half goal was the difference maker as a strong defensive effort by Kent State (1-2) earned the first win of the season in a 1-0 victory at Saint Francis (1-2) on Friday.
Not quite 15 minutes into the match, Courtney Weise found Harper who connected with the back of the net for her second goal of the season.
The Golden Flashes only allowed four shots with just one coming on goal in the game. On the other end, Kent State fired off 11 with eight on-goal.
