ORLANDO, Fla. Junior Karoline Stormo got off to a fast start Sunday, as she opened the competition with a score of 4-under, 68, finishing the opening round tied for first place.
The Kent State Golden Flashes got off to a fast start as they completed the opening round with a 7-under par 281 score, good for third place.
Stormo paced the Flashes going 17 holes for par or better. She finished the day with six birdies, two of which were back-to-back on hole No. 8 and No. 9.
Pimnipa Panthong shot a 2-under 70 score and sits in a tie for 17th, while freshman Thitapa Pakdeesettak finished the opening round at 1-under 71 and is tied for 24th.
