BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Juniors Alex Stamper and Drew Johnson earned All-MAC honors as to lead Kent State's men to its best finish at the Mid-American Conference Cross Country Championships since 2014 on Saturday after at the Bowling Green XC Course. The Golden Flashes finished sixth, while the women's team placed 10th.
Stamper took fifth in the men's 8K after passing four competitors in the final 1,300 meters, becoming Kent State's first All-MAC First Team performer since 2012 in the process. The Medina, Ohio beat his college PR by more than 21 seconds and finished with a time of 24:25.
