KENT, Ohio- Kent State soccer learned Monday afternoon that they are headed to Evanston, Ill. to take on the No. 17 Northwestern Wildcats in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday, Nov. 12. The match from Lanny and Sharon Martin Stadium is set to kick off at 3 p.m.
The Golden Flashes are set to make their first NCAA Tournament appearance after capturing their first MAC Tournament Championship in program history this passed Sunday. Kent State took down Northern Illinois 1-0 in the MAC Championship with an 85th minute goal by Kristen Brots.
