GENEVA, Ohio – Kent State track and field's Rachel Slingluff recorded the third-fastest 5,000m time (17:09.21) in Kent State history Friday at the SPIRE Division I Invitational, highlighting the first day of competition for the Golden Flashes.
Slingluff finished in the race in 13th place and moved passed Stephanie Snyder (2003, 17:15.84) for third place all-time in the Kent State record book. Taking 23rd in the women's 5,000m was Madison Spreitzer with a time of 18:16.02, followed by Morgan Bing in 31st with a time of 18:34.17.
