CINCINNATI, Ohio – The Kent State track and field team had six student-athletes win events during competition at the Oliver Nikoloff Invitational on March 31 and April 1.
Making his Golden Flashes debut, freshman Aaron Schmook earned the first victory on Friday in the men's javelin throw. Schmook opened with a personal-best throw of 198'-3", which was more than 20 feet further than any other thrower in the field.
Aliesha Shaw added a win in the women's discus with a throw of 163'-4".
The men's team captured three wins on the track.
