KENT, Ohio- Six members of Kent State's track and field programs captured event titles Saturday, the final day of the Golden Flashes Gala located in the Kent State Field House.
One of Kent State's six victories came from TJ Lawson in the men's hepthatlon. In today's events, Lawson took first in the 1,000m run (2:50.67) and tied for first in the pole vault at 4.6m (15' 1") as he scored the second-most points in the heptathlon in school history.
Ryan Looser was the other top-finisher in the pole vault and also won the heptathlon 60m hurdles en route to second place finish overall with 5,287 points.
