Waco, Tx. – Redshirt freshman pitcher Andrea Scali impressed in Kent State's 6-0 win over North Texas (6-0) at the Baylor Invitational at Getterman Stadium. Scali almost completed a no-hitter, but lost it to the first batter in the bottom of the seventh inning. She fanned 12 Mean Green hitters, tying a career-high.
The Golden Flashes (4-3) fell in the second game of the doubleheader to #10 Louisiana (11-0), 21-1.
"It's a tale of two teams right now for us. We need to make sure we are getting a more consistent overall effort," said Kent State head coach Eric Oakley.
