Ravel Dazzles for First Career Complete Game Shutout

KENT, Ohio – Andy Ravel threw his first career complete game shutout as he dominated Buffalo (14-28, 6-14) in a 5-0 win on Saturday.

Kent State improves to 35-11 overall and 16-4 in Mid-American Conference play, remaining at the top of the conference standings.

The Golden Flashes got the scoring started when Conner Simonetti banged a solo shot out to right center on a 0-2 pitch. Another came in similar fashion when Tim DalPorto dinged a solo homerun over the wall in left.

The biggest inning was a two-run 7th when Josh Hollander singled, Reilly Hawkins walked and Luke Burch tripled them both home.
