The National Field Hockey Coaches Association recently announced its Zag Field Hockey/Division I National Academic Squad for the 2017-18 academic year. Kent State had a program record 20 student-athletes honored, tying for the second most of any school in the country this season.
The Golden Flashes also had four student-athletes recognized for earning the distinction in all four years: Ines Delpech, Silvia Figa Malgosa, Jamie Fries, and Shannon Talbot.
Kent State was also represented by: Aileen Ahlers, Jessica Aplet, Ashley Bonetz, Hailie Balachick, Azure Fernsler, Kylie LeBlanc, Alexandra Luxardo, Jessica Nesbitt, Madeline Osgarby, Madison Pope, Shannon Reilly, Laila Ritcher, Sarah Ritter, Clara Rodriguez Seto, Melanie Scibilia, and Hannah Weidman.
