CLEVELAND, Ohio – Freshman Khyla Porter scored two goals to lead Kent State (2-1-1) to a 2-0 victory over Cleveland State (2-2-0) on a sun splashed Sunday afternoon. Porter, who scored the first points of her collegiate career, scored both goals in the first period and the Golden Flashes defense was fantastic down the stretch to pitch their first shutout of the campaign.
Porter got the Kent State offense on the board in the 27th minute on a shot that snuck inside the post from roughly 10-yards out on an assist from sophomore Vital Kats.
