Seven Flashes' arms combine to limit YSU to one run
NILES, OHIO – Kent State used a combination of seven pitchers to cool off the Youngstown State bats on Tuesday afternoon as the Flashes picked up a 5-1 win to finish a season sweep of the Penguins.
Starter Ryan Lane earned the win after tossing three shutout innings. He struck out five and allowed just one hit. The rookie right-hander is now 3-0 on the year. Tyler Drabick worked two scoreless innings after that, striking out three.
