University of Akron wide receiver JoJo Natson on Monday was named the Mid-American Conference East Division Offensive Player of the Week.
The senior had seven receptions for 134 yards and a touchdown in the Zips’ 65-38 win at Marshall Saturday. He recorded his first 100-yard receiving game as a Zip, and the second of his career.
Akron hosts Appalachian State Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
Women’s golf
St. Francis University (Pa.) won the John Carroll Invitational for the third consecutive year, beating Mount Union by 14 strokes.
Mount Union was led by Erica Mawhorr, who shot an 82 Monday at the Country Club of Hudson.
