The University of Akron’s Josh Williams has been named YP.com’s Mid-American Conference East Division Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday.
Williams scored 20 points in a 80-68 road win over Ohio and topped that performance in a 92-87 home victory against Central Michigan with a career-high 22 points. The freshman averaged 21 points per game, while shooting 86 percent (11-of-13) from the 3-point line.
