University of Akron men’s soccer player Adam Najem was selected as a first-team Scholar All-America award winner by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America and was named to TopDrawerSoccer.com’s Men’s Division I Best XI third-team on Thursday.
A senior, Najem became the third Zip to garner first-team NSCAA Scholar All-America accolades twice and earned TopDrawerSoccer.com’s All-America status for the second consecutive season.
Najem, a four-time first team All-Mid-American Conference honoree and 2016 MAC Player of the Year, started all 22 games for the Zips this season and ranked second on the team in goals (5) and assists (5).
