The University of Akron women’s tennis team won its 14th consecutive match, improving to 15-2 with a 7-0 win over Binghamton Sunday at the LaTuchie Tennis Center in Stow.
Sophia Geier, Ariadna Blinova, Rita Pedroso and Carla Flores each won singles matches for the Zips. Flores led the way with a 6-0, 6-0 sweep.

Kent State lost both games of a doubleheader at No. 17 Michigan Sunday. The Golden Flashes (8-13) have dropped four games to the Wolverines over the past eight days.
Kent State took a 2-0 lead in the first game when Maddy Grimm hit a two-run home run in the first inning.
