The University of Akron softball team swept a nonconference afternoon doubleheader 3-1 and 5-4 over host Cleveland State at Viking Field on Wednesday.
The two victories pushed the Zips (17-15) to two games above .500 for the season.
Pitcher Erin Seiler allowed five hits and struck out eight en route to a complete game in the first game.
Savannah Fruin went 2-for-4 with three RBI in the second game.

Kent State lost a doubleheader 3-2 and 14-11 to host Robert Morris at the North Athletic Complex in Moon Township, Pa.
The Golden Flashes (20-9) lost early leads in both games.
