On the record: UA men’s golf finishes 10th at Wexford Plantation Intercollegiate

The University of Akron men’s golf team bumped up two places to secure 10th place and finish with a team total of 32-over 896 Tuesday at the Wexford Plantation Intercollegiate Tournament in Hilton Head, S.C.

The Zips shot a score of 11-over 299 on the last day of the tournament to move up two spots after starting the first two rounds 12th out of 17 teams.

Redshirt freshman Elliott Grayson recorded the team’s lowest round, shooting a 1-under 71 and a 5-over 221 overall for the three-day tournament. Senior Louis Birchall also shot a 5-over 221, carding rounds of 1-over 73 and 1-under 71 in the first two rounds, respectively.
