The University of Akron men’s basketball team will begin its 2016-17 conference schedule with consecutive games at Rhodes Arena in January.
The Zips host Bowling Green on Jan. 3 and welcome Western Michigan on Jan. 7 to begin Mid-American Conference play.
The Zips host Ohio on Jan. 17, Eastern Michigan on Jan. 21, Buffalo on Jan. 28, Ball State Feb. 7, Toledo on Feb. 14, Kent State on Feb. 18 and Miami on Feb. 28. The Zips wrap up the regular season on March 3 in Kent.
The Zips open the regular season on Nov. 12 at Youngstown State and open the home schedule versus American on Nov.
