Senior Paige Kelkenberg became the second diver in the history of the University of Akron’s diving program to qualify for the NCAA Championships on Friday at the NCAA Zone C Diving Championships in Bloomington, Ind.
Kelkenberg’s combined score of 547.55 landed her in eighth place, the final qualifying spot for next week’s NCAA Championships in Indianapolis.
Kelkenberg joins Alice Hottensmith, who competed in the one- and three-meter dive at the NCAA Championshps in 2016.
