Anita Brown scored 16 points and the University of Akron women’s basketball team improved to 14-12 overall and 8-7 in the Mid-American Conference with a 65-62 victory in overtime at Miami Wednesday.
The Zips, who shot 42 percent from the floor, rallied to force overtime at 57-all after trailing 27-22 at halftime and 45-41 after three quarters.
The RedHawks fell to 9-17, 3-12.

The Golden Flashes (5-20, 2-13) dropped an 86-52 road decision to MAC-leading Ohio (22-4, 14-1).
Jordan Korinek scored a team-high 18 points, while grabbing five rebounds to pace the Flashes.
