Former University of Akron men’s soccer players Perry Kitchen, Darlington Nagbe and DeAndre Yedlin were selected for the 40-man preliminary roster for the Copa America Centenario by the United States Men’s National Team. The final 23-player roster will be announced May 20. The tournament begins June 3.
College softball
Mount Union senior Andi Vansickle was named Ohio Athletic Conference softball hitter of the week. In the last two games of her career, Vansickle went 5-for-6, hitting three home runs and a double.
She tied the school record for RBI in a season with 46, having four RBI combined in her two games against Wilmington.
